Through a generous donation from The Tikvah Fund, Princeton University established The Tikvah Project on Jewish Thought at Princeton, a term grant that funded projects from 2007-2014. Devoted to bringing Jewish thought into conversation with the broader historical, philosophical, and theological traditions of the West and beyond, the project has sponsored a number of initiatives over the years including bringing visiting fellows in Jewish thought to Princeton, workshops and working groups on Jewish thought at Princeton, and a two-week summer seminar for undergraduate and graduate students from around the world.
Beginning in the summer of 2014, the summer seminar will be re-located to The Tikvah Center in New York City. Outstanding faculty from the summer program at Princeton will teach week-long institutes in Jewish thought, literature, and history. These faculty include Leora Batnitkzy, Moshe Halbertal, Christine Hayes, Daniel Gordis, Dara Horn, Micah Goodman, and more.
